Counting my blessings

When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the LORD your God for the good land he has given you. Be careful that you do not forget the LORD your God…

Farm on WLOS

Check out our farm on local TV station.

Saturday, March 28, 2020

I  have started a new quilt during the Covid-19 Stay at Home time. While the rest of the world is in so much fear, I am trying to stay in a state of thanksgiving. I am thankful that we have a home, we are healthy, we have enough to provide for all of our farm animals, and for our artistic talents. I am praying this virus goes away as quickly as it came. Our plans for the farm are on hold until it passes. Until then we will keep busy getting the farm ready for an open house sometime in the future.

Thriving Christian Artist Conference

So I went to my first Thriving Christian Artist conference last weekend. It was wonderful! I am feeling blessed for this time in my life. A lot of other artist there say that they are not supported, or may not have the time to do their art. Some of them are a lot younger than me. Some are older. I am in such a good place in my life. I feel like I did what I had to do by working for the last 29 years, so that I could pay the bills and have insurance. Now I am free to explore my art and craftsmanship as much as I want. Also, I want to be a blessing in others lives when they see my art or visit the farm. Tom and I are starting a new journey in our lives. We want to open the farm for tours and classes. We will be offering classes in wood carving, folk art, spinning, crochet, and knitting. We will be starting an Air B&B here on the farm. Keep checking in for more updates!
